The XD13027 is not designed to fit the D30a differential.
The Aussie Locker will not work in posi or limited slip carriers. Hint: Start with 0.027" worth of pinion depth shims under the inner pinion bearing(in addition to the funny baffle that belongs there), and there is also a medium sized slinger under the inner pinion bearing. All Aussie Lockers are designed for installation in an open differential. With a press and a good clamshell bearing puller it's faster and more accurate to just use the final bearings on the carrier.
Put them under the carrier bearings and buy the right puller for the job.įWIW I don't fuck with setup bearings anymore, they end up changing your setup by about 0.004" backlash when you change them to the normal bearings, and you're usually really fucked if you added you preload shims at the same time.
